Having trouble opening .mrc files?

Not being able to open .mrc files may be the result of not having the appropriate application installed or Operating System issues.

You should ensure:
  1. The appropriate program is installed
  2. Check your Operating System for invalid registry entries and other speed issues.

MRC can be automatically loaded when opening the files in remote. MIRC leaves very little footprint on the computer designing for it is meant to be portable between locations within the computer. If MIRC were to assign a file to itself then the user would not ever know the instance it may run when clicked on. When a program is moved from a default installation location the scripts become much easier to distribute and it needs less documentation to run them. Portability is essential for all file extension MRC applications.
